WARRIORS

6 Howard – The full-back was pretty solid in testing conditions. Executed the kicking game well but dropped a couple of high balls.

6 Howe – The winger didn’t see an awful lot of the ball but made his tackles out wide and ran hard at the French.

7 Pennell – The Warriors legend playing in the unfamiliar 13 role worked tirelessly throughout and did well to manage the backline in blizzard-like conditions.

7 Stelling – Always looked a threat with ball in hand as he ran at the French and was strong in defence.

6 Humphreys – Like Howe, didn’t see much of the ball but was strong in defence. Chased hard and put pressure on Oyonnax at every opportunity.

8 Olver – The young fly-half was exceptional in harsh conditions. Kicked all but one from the tee, scored a superb try and made an outrageous try-saving tackle on Oyonnax tighthead Irakli Mirtskhulava.

7 Dowsett – Calm under pressure and cleared Warriors’ lines several times when stuck deep in their 22.

6 Bower – Another solid display from the loosehead in the scrum. He has played the most times for Warriors this season – 15 in total.

5 Taufete’e – Not a good night for the USA man whose yellow card for a tip-tackle ultimately cost his side 14 points whilst he was in the bin.

6 Kerrod – Tough night scrummaging against Oyonnax’s number one loosehead. Held his own and was hard over the ball.

6 Phillips – Carried well throughout but was stripped of the ball after winning a line-out at the death which put Warriors under pressure by their own line.

7 Barry – Made some big hits and worked tirelessly throughout but was stripped of the ball which led to Oyonnax’s killer third try.

6 Taylor – Gave 100 per cent as always as he looks to stake his claim for a more regular spot in the first team.

7 Durutalo – Quieter than usual but ran some good lines and made a crucial turnover on their line. Industrious performance from the USA man.

8 Denton – Always looked to get his hands on the ball and made some massive tackles along with an important turnover. Tough night at the base of scrum but it was one of his best games in a Warriors jersey.
