NEW Zealanders Chris Stirling and John Plumtree are rumoured to be in the mix for Worcester Warriors’ director of rugby position.
According to the Rugby Paper, Stirling and Plumtree who both work at Super Rugby outfit Hurricanes have expressed an interest in the top job at the Aviva Premiership club.
Stirling had three successful seasons at Cornish Pirates, taking them to the Championship play-off final in 2011 where they lost to Worcester.
A year later he joined Hurricanes where he has been working as high performance manager.
His colleague Plumtree, who is assistant coach at the Wellington-based club, is also believed to have thrown his name into the ring.
The 52-year-old has previously been head coach of the Sharks in South Africa and had a spell as Ireland’s forwards coach.
The Rugby Paper also understands ex-England international Alex Codling was in contention but is believed to have committed his future to Ealing Trailfinders where he is head coach.
