THERE was agony for Worcester Warriors youngsters Will Butler and Justin Clegg.

Butler started for England while Clegg was on the bench for their heavy 64-17 defeat by New Zealand today in the final of the World Under-20 Championship in Georgia.

New Zealand dethroned defending champions England in brutal fashion and effectively sealed victory by half-time as they led 40-7 at the break.

Ben Earl, Alex Mitchell and Josh Bayliss scored England's tries, with Max Malins adding one conversion.

Asafo Aumua was the star performer for the young All Blacks as he scored a hat-trick to inspire his side to a dominant 10-try triumph at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium in Tbilisi.

He became just the second player to notch a hat-trick in the final of the competition.

There was also disappointment for Warriors hooker Jack Singleton who was an unused replacement in England's 35-25 Test win against Argentina yesterday.
