BROMYARD opened their season with a convincing 39-10 North Midlands Vase first round victory over lower-ranked Chaddesley Corbett.
After several phases of forward play the ball was spread to John Pudge who burst through the centres for the opening try.
It was quickly cancelled out from the kick-off when an intercepted pass allowed Chaddesley to hit back straight away.
Several dropped balls in the Chaddesley 22 meant the teams were level until a Pat Hill penalty and a second Pudge try gave Bromyard a 15-5 lead going into half-time.
The second half saw four more Bromyard tries from Kris Brown, Tom Morris, Rhys Cooper and Jamie Gibbons before Chaddesley scored at the death.
Bromyard open their Midlands Four West (South) campaign on Saturday at Redditch.
