MIDLANDS Three West (South) club Upton are on the look-out for a new head coach and players to join for the start of next season as they look to reshape the club's management structure.

The ambitious club have endured a tough campaign not helped by lack of player commitment and some bad luck with injuries early on.

Over the Christmas and new year period Upton lost two valuable members in tragic circumstances after the deaths of player Nathan Tomkins and stalwart Nigel Banwell.

Upton are looking for a better season in 2017-18 but need to attract new players or those out of the game for a number of years who want to get back playing again.

They will be restructuring how the club is run and require a new head coach to not only bring fresh ideas and tactics but also help to attract players.

The new appointment will be working with director of rugby Oliver Banwell and delivering training sessions for the senior players every Tuesday.

They are required to attend each game at the weekend and also play an active part in helping nurture the young talent at the various youth levels at the club.

For more details on the head coach position and to apply email Oliver Banwell at obanwell@hotmail.com.

Meanwhile, third-from-bottom Upton enjoyed a welcome 38-15 home win over basement boys Bedworth for their sixth league victory of the campaign.

They welcome Manor Park to Old Street on Saturday and then finish the season at champions Droitwich on Saturday, April 22.
