WORCESTER Warriors wing Tom Biggs could be fit to face play-off rivals London Scottish in tomorrow’s Greene King IPA Championship clash at Sixways (3pm).

Biggs, who has scored 12 tries in 19 appearances for Warriors this term, suffered a head injury in the closing stages of last weekend’s 23-21 defeat in Jersey.

Warriors’ director of rugby Dean Ryan will be making a decision on whether to include Biggs or Cooper Vuna in the squad.

“Tom is under the return to play protocol so we have decisions to make,” said Ryan. “Cooper Vuna will be part of that decision-making.”

Vuna is yet to make his Warriors debut after suffering an ankle injury a day before he was due to play against Plymouth Albion.

Ryan revealed fly-half Ryan Lamb will definitely be involved against third-placed Scottish, who Warriors beat 34-17 in December.

Lamb, who has overcome an ankle problem, last played for Warriors in a 25-5 home win against Doncaster Knights at the end of January. He had been tipped to make a return against Jersey.

Ryan said: “Ryan is back from injury and so we are hoping to get him involved.”

Warriors’ 24-match winning run at first team level came to a shuddering halt against Jersey and Ryan called it “a bad day”.

“Some of our better players played badly,” said Ryan.

“You don’t have five years playing at the highest level to be ditched because you have played badly in one match. The players are pretty keen to put it right.”

Meanwhile, Worcester Cavaliers secured a 31-20 friendly victory against the Navy at Sixways. Perry Humphreys, James Stephenson, Jon Hughes, Sam Smith and Luke Hibbard scored tries for Cavaliers, while Clayton Dee kicked three conversions.
