A NEW competition has been launched at Bromyard with the Champions Floodlit Trophy.
Four teams will compete over the winter months under the new floodlights at Bromyard’s Clive Richards Sports Ground.
The inaugural match between the hosts and local rivals Tenbury saw a tight match which Bromyard won 22-14.
Scrum-half Chris Muntz Torres grabbed two tries with Tom Morris adding the other.
Tenbury captain Will Gough scored all Tenbury’s points.
The two other teams invited to join the competition are Clee Hill and Greyhound.
If the trophy turns out to be successful, it will be expanded next year.
It is sponsored by land agent Nick Champion of Tenbury.
