WORCESTER Warriors trained at Malvern College during their mid-season assessment day.

The indoor facilities enabled the Aviva Premiership club’s head coach Richard Hill and his players to carry out the planned session despite the wintery conditions outside.

They tested their fitness with rounds of water polo, cricket and basketball in sessions led by the college staff.

The school’s rugby players, with eight figuring in the Warriors elite player development group, enjoyed lunch with their sporting heroes.

Hill said: “We are proud of our close relationship with Malvern College and thank them for allowing us to use their fantastic indoor facilities during the wintery weather.”

He added: “It was great that so many young, hopeful players were also able to meet the Warriors and we look forward to returning again in the near future.”
