Malvern Town 1, Cinderford Town 2 MALVERN Town had little joy over the Easter weekend despite having two games at their Langland Stadium.
But it was Malvern who took the lead in their Easter Monday's British Gas Business Division One Midlands clash with Cinderford Town.
A good ball through to Keith Jones saw him find Andy Crowther, slotted the ball beyond the Foresters' keeper Matt Bath.
Malvern continued to attack but failed to make the possession count and the 40th minute the ball fell to Cinderford's Sean McEwen on the edge of the area and he fired home the equaliser.
Five minutes into the second half and long ball was played to Ben Davies and he slotted the ball past Craig Humphries into the Malvern goal and give Cinderford the lead.
In the 53th minute Ed Lyons fired just wide, before Danny Moon hit the side netting from a Jamie Hyde corner.
Malvern Town 0, Barton Rovers 0 MALVERN gained their first league point since February 9 in a hard-fought game against a Barton Rovers.
Malvern's makeshift team, with several players missing due to holidays and weddings, were unable to take advantage of the conditions and the only chance fell to Barton's Tony Thorpe who shot over in the 35th minute.
Malvern had appeals for handball in the penalty area turned down before a free-kick from the left was headed on by Dave Cannon and Tom Lacey sent the ball back but no-one could connect.
