Round-up
Rickleton in shock win
CLUB veteran John Rickleton stole the show, winning Ross Golf Club's first major trophy of the season.
Rickleton beat off stiff competition from 73 other players to scoop the silverware in the Winston Wildsmith Salver tournament, one of the few events open to both men and lady members.
The seasoned 13 handicapper put together a consistent stableford round to amass 39 points and finish top of the final results table.
Don Punnett was runner-up, followed by Raymond Cropper and Gerald Yarnold, all three scoring 38 points each.
