Radar put in better showing
MALVERN RADAR 1,
THE BRIDGE 3
AFTER last week's poor performance this was a much better display from Malvern Radar against a well organised Bridge team in the Worcester League.
Radar almost took the lead when Stacy Brimmell's shot was well blocked by Bridge keeper Nick Garth.
The visitors took the lead on 20 minutes when they hit Radar on the counter attack and Dave Eade netted from closer range.
Bridge had to wait until the 70th-minute to stretch their lead with Mike Jeffries beating Radar keeper Steve Green.
The hosts hit back when Grimmell pounced to fire home Tom Grubb's parried shot.
With just 10 minutes left Radar thought they may be in with chance of sharing the points but their hopes were dashed when Eade restored the Bridge's two-goal lead.
Radar are home this Sunday to Droitwich Reserves, meet 9.45 at Victoria Park.
