RUNNERS are being urged to enter this year’s Dymock half-marathon.
The event, over 13.1 miles, takes place on Sunday, May 27, at 11am and all proceeds will be donated to Breakthhrough Cancer Research.
Open to serious runners, novices and joggers, the undulating course takes competitors around the outskirts of Ledbury and to the finish at Dymock Cricket Club via Much Marcle.
The course record is held by Dale Rixon of Bridgend AC with a time of one hour five minutes 46 seconds, achieved in 1996.
Kim Mazzucca, of Forest of Dean AC, holds the ladies record of 1.25.12, set in 2009.
There will be prizes for leading runners with certificates and medals for all finishers.
Entry costs £10 for athletic clubs members and £12 for non-affiliated runners.
For more details or to enter, call John Gurney on 01594-543563.
