The Elms School under 13s boys hockey team were crowned champions at the Herefordshire championships in Leominster. They secured qualification for the west regional finals after making a fine start by beating Hereford Cathedral pupils and St Richard’s, Bromyard. A hat-trick from Ben Elias helped the Colwall school beat fellow unbeaten village rivals The Downs Malvern College Prep 4-3 in the decider, despite them being a goal down at half-time.
