DISAPPOINTED Malvern RFC director of rugby Dave Robins has called for his side to display a killer instinct as they still search for their first Midlands One win of the season.
The Spring Lane side crashed to a third successive defeat at home to Kettering on Saturday, falling 20-26.
But Robins has called for more from his side as they travel to the East Midlands for their latest fixture where they face South Leicester tomorrow (ko 3pm).
He said “We failed to put in the killer punches in the first 20 minutes, which gave them the confidence to come back at us.
“Our indiscipline at the breakdown incurred a raft of unnecessary penalties that ultimately cost us 30 minutes of sin bin time and 12 points against us. We were also guilty of making wrong decisions, kicking away possession to put ourselves under pressure.
“However, we showed some good signs as well, and the fact that we got two tries will give the boys some confidence.
“We now make the trip to South Leicester, who are a difficult proposition on their own patch, then we welcome old rivals Longton to Spring Lane on Saturday, October 11.”
