O'Sullivan and Davis set to go snooker loopy in Malvern

SNOOKER superstars Ronnie O’Sullivan and Steve Davis will be amongst the line-up as the sport’s Premier League comes to Malvern next month.

‘The Rocket’ faces Ding Jun-hui and Steve Davis battles Mark Selby at Malvern Theatre on Thursday, October 9, in the fourth round of the 2008 Partypoker.com Premier League Snooker.

Reigning champion O’Sullivan has dominated the tournament in recent times, winning the prestigious event for the last four years.

The action at the Grange Road venue will also be captured live on Sky Sports from 7.30pm.

The line-up features seven of the world’s best players and each match is the best of six frames with two points available for a win in the unique league format.

The total prize fund is more than £250,000 with Stephen Hendry and John Higgins some of the other stars taking part.
