PAUL Molloy has left his post as Malvern Town manager by mutual consent.
The former Worcester City utility player, who took over at Langland Stadium in May 2006 following the departure of Neil Hunt, parted company with the British Gas Business Division One Midlands strugglers on Thursday.
Malvern are currently second-from-bottom in the table with 10 points from 22 matches and just one win from their last 12 games.
Former Malvern boss Joe Rawle and reserve team coach Les Jones have been appointed as caretaker managers while chairman Paul Pallett searches for a permanent replacement.
Pallett said: "It is by mutual agreement, there's no problem. I would like to say Paul did a very good job for us managing to keep us in the league last season.
"I would like to thank him for his efforts in general at the club over the last 18 months and I would like to wish him well for the future."
Malvern's next game is a trip to Cinderford Town on New Year's Day but they are not due to play again after that until they host Leighton Town in a league game on Tuesday, January 15.
The Langland Stadium club is now inviting applications for the post of first team manager. Anyone interested can contact chairman Pallett on 01905 773236 or 07931 574725 (m).
