MALVERN-based rider Nikki Juniper competed for Great Britain at the UEC European Cycling Championships in Glasgow this week.
Juniper lined-up alongside Olympic gold medallist Anna Van Der Breggen, world champion Chantal Blaak and the experienced Marianne Vos for the women’s road race.
The 36-year-old who underwent three major operations on her collarbone last year, finished 40th out of 107 competitors in a time of three hours, 32 minutes and two seconds.
She was also the fifth fastest British rider out of eight who tackled the city centre course that comprised of nine laps totalling 130 kilometres.
