Mitchell Fowles and son Norton scored 40 in the stableford better-ball to see off Jonathan Hunt’s duo and Sean Johnstone’s team on 39 and 38 respectively.

David Lamb’s team also had 38 while Dave Broad’s, Keith Smith’s, Andy Lammas’ and Luke Boulton’s all finished with 37.

Rob Wetton continued his steady mid-30s scoring for 105 with Bill Bowen and Andrew Jarvis on 104 after 36 apiece.

Dave Lindsay has 102 in sixth while Pete Harrison’s top score of the day of 41 nudged him to 101 with Brian Taylor on 100.

Division Three is led by Gerry McCurry whose 36 kept him well out in front having scored 41 in June.

McCurry has 108 to lead by five from Andy Falconer and Pauline Wetton.

Dick Bettsworth (29) is on 97 with Mike Hendry (36), Jeff Carlisle (33), Adrian Wood (38) and Allen Rowberry (39) on 95.

Bransford seniors only kept their unbeaten home run intact with a 4-4 draw against Churchill and Blakedown.

Three pairings lost at the 18th hole in Dave Miller (18) and Mike Davidge (16), Harry Godwin (21) and Mike Weaver (20) and Neil Sheldon (20) and Alan Wallcroft (24).

Ivor Lloyd (20) and Pete Harrison (25) won 7&5, John Phillips (21) and Roger Clark (23) 7&5, Phil Spencer (18) and

Dave Lindsay (23) 3&2 and Ferey Ghani (15) and Mark Weston (24) 6&4 while Falconer (24) and Andrew Jarvis (24) lost 5&4.
