MALVERN Victoria men had one rink win in a narrow 71-61 defeat to town rivals Manor Park.
Andy Bowen, Stuart Parsons and the returning Jim Allsopp were successful at Victoria Park.
Victoria ladies lost 42-29 to Manor Park with the rink of Kit Aldridge, Carol Boughton and loan player Merry McGowan triumphing.
The club achieved a resounding victory at Aston Somerville with debutant John Palmer, Sal di Chiara and Ivor Richards winning 19-10, Brian Costigan, Tom Hersey and Don Handy 20 -6 and Jim Gatty, Shirley Smith and Richard Bosely 26 - 4.
Smith, playing for Victoria Marks, gained another prized victory in the Les Thomas Triples League match against Victoria Craft.
Bosely, Smith and Bowen won 26 -12 as Marks took four of the available points.
