MALVERN Victoria won their third match of the season 93-83 against Ledbury.
Richard Bosley, Steve Aldridge and Andy Bowen were the top winning rink.
Victoria lost by just five points at Pershore despite a convincing 34-15 win by John Smith, Malcolm Smith and Jim Gatty.
The ladies played their first game of the season at Droitwich Spa but lost by 15 shots.
Victoria's S Handy, M Wynne-Owen and S Smith won 15-14 but S Aldridge, C Boughton and A Pugh lost 22-15 and D Handy, M King and K Aldridge went down 20-11.
Shirley Smith had a fine run in the Champion of Champions county competition, beating Emily Jones from Manor Park and then Jean Ford from Worcester.
Smith then lost a well-fought contest against Broadway newcomer Mary Shephard who was the Evesham champion.
The ladies' next game is at Pershore on Tuesday.
Malvern Victoria Craft made a strong start in the Les Thomas Triples League.
They beat Eastnor Rebels, Malvern Priory and Victoria Plums.
Their only loss has been against Manor Park.
Under the leadership of Steve Boughton they have accumulated 18 points and head Division Two.
