LEDBURY Harriers had three runners in the top five at the sell-out Spring Chicken Run from Pendock Primary School.

The sun was shining and a strong turn-out from Harriers opted to do the 10-kilometre run.

Two laps of the 5km Gloucestershire course were completed with Ledbury’s Chris Grubb third in 38 minutes 24 seconds, Clifford Berry fourth in 39.30 and Oliver Knight fifth in 40.19.

Andy Crawshaw was 20th in 46.41, Jason Milner 29th in 47.44, Dave Horne 35th in 49.11, Tony Saunders 43rd in 51.19, Helen Milner 78th in 55.09, Amy Saunders 79th in 55.28, Rachel Wilson 115th in 1.00.47, Helen Keegan 124th in 1.02.30, Mandy Williams 138th in 1.04.51, Sarah Coggins 162nd in 1.09.09, Peter Jackson 180th in 1.13.24, Joanne Hartness 181st in 1.13.36, Elaine Powell 188th in 1.14.14, Sue Heywood 191st in 1.17.38, Ruth Hill 193rd in 1.18.02, Lauren Young 194th in 1.18.49, Joanna Jackson 195th in 1.21.39 and Vicki Buick 205th in 1.31.58.

Meanwhile, Holly Gourley ran the Mortimer Forest trail run and finished 26th in 1.18.05.

Harriers’ couch to 5k group took on the challenging Newent Parkrun. The runners had all graduated having completed the required distance.
