NINE Malvern Joggers members took on the rearranged Mortimer Forest trail race.

The challenging course of around nine miles near Ludlow saw Nick Dauncey finish first Jogger in 18th place in one hour 14 minutes 41 seconds.

Steve Roode ran 1.29.48, Ian Dyson 1.30.55, Mike Bolton 1.34.41, Andrew Brown 1.36.18, Ian Walwyn 1.38.02, Julie Caseley 1.38.48, Alison Priest 1.40.53 and Vivien Tolley 2.29.02.

The multi-terrain Pendock Chicken Run in south Worcestershire involved Joggers juniors alongside the seniors in the five-kilometre event.

Juniors Hannah Fernside ran 30.41 and Ben Maddock 31.09 while Rachel Cashmore managed 32.12, Annaelle Bolton 37.56 and Maddie Preston 36.48.

In the 10k event, Jerry Greer was 31st in 48.16, Keith Ruff clocked 51:28 and Kareen Mann was first in her age section in 52.05.

Warwick Taylor did 53.02, Jim Wheatstone 55.37, Sian Maxfield 55.49, Jacqui Ferrett 1.10.30 and Neil and Lynn Coleman 1.13.46.

Lynda Broadway and Mike Anstey completed the Poets Path Potter marathon in 6.45.

Broadway said: "It was a lovely route although very wet and muddy but really well organised."

Jill Eberle did the London Landmarks half marathon and was delighted with another personal best of 2.06.08.
