A WORCESTER fight club bagged a brace of medals at the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Junior European Championships.

Nicola Krawozyk won gold in the female white teen one under 48kg category and Clay Skilbeck clinched silver in the male white teen one under 68kg category.

The duo, both aged 13, were representing the Worcester-based Iron Fight Club along with Oskar Ptansinski, Jan Tucholski and Cole Skilbeck who also fought hard.

They were among more than 1,500 competitors coming from 36 countries fighting it out in Wolverhampton.

Head coach Piotr Ptasinski said: “Nicola did brilliantly to win gold as it was a very tough group. But they were all very good. You could see from the warm up that this competition was going to be a very high level, probably the highest in Europe.

“I am very happy with everyone’s achievements, they all fought very well and made me and my team very proud. We have got another competition to target so we will keep going.”
