VC Sevale star Jez Pile showed his class again at the European Masters Track Championships.
Held in Roubaix, France, Pile picked up a silver medal in the 750-metre time trial.
His time of 52.05 seconds was less than a second behind the eventual winner Geoffroy Soulaine from France.
He then backed up his result by claiming another silver in the individual pursuit.
Racing against his Great British team-mate Robert West, Pile gambled that his superior start speed would enable him to catch his opponent and therefore take the win.
But despite getting within a third of a lap West’s endurance saw him pull away for the gold.
On home soil VC Sevale’s Graham Browning continued his dominance of the Malvern cycling club’s time trial series with a win in the one-kilometre sprint.
Browning completed the distance in a time of one minute 19 seconds, three seconds quicker than Stuart Day in second.
William Davies was in third place, stopping the clock in 1.26.
M Amery clocked 1.30, M Collins 1.38, T Knight 1.42, G O’Mahoney 1.44, S Barker 1.54 and M Pile 2.24.
