MALVERN Triathlon Club will launch their youth section with a half-day multi-sport introductory session later this month.
The event, aimed at youngsters between the ages of seven and 16, will take place on Sunday, May 28, from 9am until 12pm at Malvern Active.
It is an open invitation to all young people who are interested in sport. There is no entry criteria but knowledge of each participant’s abilities is necessary, so the five qualified and DBS checked coaches can then make sure everyone is catered for and has a good time.
Participants will get the chance to have run and swim coaching and also take part in a series of games geared towards the transition element of multi-sport events.
Cassius Croney, 10, said; “I can swim, run and ride a bike, so putting all three together will be fun, a challenge and cool.”
Pete Lane, youth section co-ordinator said: “I would encourage any youngster who have even the slightest inclination to try triathlon to sign up for the training day as it promises to be a fantastic experience and all for a reasonable cost of £5.”
