FORMER swimming ace Mark Foster is set to make another splash coaching young stars of tomorrow.

The six-time world champion and former Olympian is bringing his one-day swimming camp to Malvern Active, Malvern College Sports Complex, on Thursday, October 27.

Television pundit Foster will be joined by Katy Sexton MBE, the first British woman to win a world championship title, and they will share their winning techniques.

The coaching team also includes top strength and conditioning coaches, nutritionists and sports science experts.

Children aged nine to 18 will be coached on all aspects from improving stroke technique, speed and endurance to advanced land training fitness, strength and flexibility programmes, as well as self-belief and race preparation.

Rob Young, operations manager at Malvern Active, said: “This is an incredible and unique opportunity for our young local talent to learn from two of Britain’s most successful swimmers.

“Set to be an informative and practical day, we’re looking forward to welcoming Mark and his team.”

The initiative from Foster has already inspired thousands of children around the UK to achieve the best level of swimming they can, using fun and informative teaching techniques to engage both young swimmers and their parents, who are also invited to come along and observe.

The camps are suited for all levels of swimmers aged nine to 18 who are competing at club, county, regional or national level.
