MALVERN Cycle Sport competed in the Midlands XC MTB Series fourth round at Eastridge in Shropshire.
Harriet Harnden and Louis Brooks won the juvenile female and youth male categories respectively in challenging conditions made worse by heavy morning rain.
Jack Bristow and Tom Bristow managed sixth and 10th in the under 10s race, while Bob Harnden was fourth in the under 13s category.
Ross Harnden won the junior men’s race with club-mate Stan Pritchard second and the victor also set the fastest lap time for all categories.
There was a clean sweep for Malvern riders in the expert men’s section with winner Dave Creber over five minutes ahead of Tom Fowler in second spot with Ed Moseley third and James Dickens fourth.
Matt Lambeth was 15th in the sport men’s race, which Matt O’Toole completed in 17th despite multiple punctures.
Tom Harnden was sixth in the open category after sustaining a leg injury.
