DARTS ace Terry Jenkins narrowly missed out on a shock victory against World number one Michael van Gerwen at the Dutch Masters in Venray.
The Ledbury thrower missed a dart at tops for victory in a tense semi-final against the Dutchman, who hit back to win the match 6-5.
Jenkins had forced the last-four tie into a deciding leg and opened the 11th leg with two 180s.
But Jenkins missed his opportunity to seal a place in the final before van Gerwen posted double four to claim victory.
Van Gerwen then wasted little time in securing his fourth successive Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) European Tour title with 6-0 whitewash of Justin Pipe.
Jenkins had earlier edged out Australian ace Kyle Anderson 6-5 in the quarter-finals, having recorded a 6-4 success against Brendan Dolan in the third round.
The Bull opened his account in the competition with a comfortable 6-3 second-round triumph over Dutchman Jerry Hendriks.
Hendriks broke in the game's opening leg but did not recover from seeing Jenkins take the next four for a 4-1 advantage.
