LEDBURY Rovers eased their Paperstation Malvern Table Tennis League Division One relegation fears with a 10-0 victory over an under-strength Ledbury Lions.

Maximums from James Dance, Bob Marshall and Ady Marshall fired the Rovers to success.

CSSC Ramblers defeated Manor Park Pumas 9-1 thanks to three wins each for Chris Hewitt and Graham Thompson along with two for Alan Salisbury.

Geoff Woodward replied with a single victory for Pumas.

Broadheath Belters kept up their chase of Ramblers with a 6-4 victory over Ledbury Collection thanks to another maximum for Michael Siket supported by Brett Brining (2).

Siket and Brining also combined to take the doubles for Belters.

Patryk Kovacz (2), Nigel Foreshew and Ann Barnes replied for Collection.

YMCA Pterodactyls defeated Manor Park Express 7-3 thanks to three wins each and the doubles for Wayne Chopping and Dave White.

Pete Griffiths, Dave Woodyatt and Dale Dickinson replied with single wins for Express.

Division Two title winners Crackpots “E” maintained their 100 per cent record with a 7-3 victory over YMCA Vulcans thanks to maximums from Dave Steen and Matt Hodges supported by Anthea Knight’s single.

Vulcans replied with single wins for John Cawthra and Richard Bennett, who also combined to take the doubles.

Poolbrook Dynamos eased past Malvern Tornados 7-3 with two wins each for Geoff Burford, John Phillips and Tom James.

However, the star on the night was Ben Meredith, who confirmed his youthful promise with three fine wins for Tornados.

Scuttling Gang defeated Crackpots “D” 6-4 thanks to three wins from Richard Cullis supported by Ken Hipwell and Bill Smith with one each.

Stewart Moss and Bob Rhodes replied with two each for Crackpots.

Bromyard Hopefuls maintained their Division Three title challenge with an 8-2 win over Manor Park Crackpots.

It was thanks to a maximum from Brian Kitchener supported by Martin Gwilt and David Gwilt with two successes each.

Stephen Lindner replied with two for Crackpots.

Devils kept up their promotion hopes thanks to a 7-3 win over Poolbrook Panthers with Paul Lythgoe (3), Pete Harding (2) and Denis Chetwood winning.

Ewan Gear was in fine form for Panthers with two victories and Ian Sage contributed one.

Poolbrook Rangers defeated Poolbrook Juniors 6-4 with two wins each for Phil Smethurst, Rob Weston and debutant James Davis.

James Glazzard showed his significant progress by remaining unbeaten for Juniors.

Abbeydowne defeated Crackpots ‘B’ 6-4 with Neils Erikksson and Chris Burrows taking two wins each and the doubles together.

Len Hitchman also enjoyed a singles victory, while Stan Gynn (2), Alan Eldridge and Alan Forsdike replied for Crackpots.
