WORLD ace Terry Jenkins helped spearhead the Ledbury Town Football Club 2015 fighting fund with an exhibition night at The Royal Hall.

The professional from the town, nicknamed The Bull, took on all comers to aid the struggling club’s cause for next season, raising £280.

Guest scorer and Ledbury League regular Chris Hodges called out countless tons as Jenkins displayed his prowess.

He defeated young footballer Lewis Williams, the Ledbury Darts League’s Jake Bramley, David Butcher, Hodges and Wayne Wilband and Ledbury Town press officer Chris Ponter and chairman Paul Mann.

The only player to overcome The Bull on the night, as Jenkins, 51, experienced rare difficulty finding the double, was Ledbury League regular Matthew Badham.

A Town spokesman thanked councillors Annette Crowe, Elizabeth Harvey, Richard Hadley and Jim Kenyon for their promotion and help with organisation, The Royal Hall and Jenkins.

The Bull was knocked out of the German Masters third round in Munich on Monday with a 6-3 defeat to James Wade.

Jenkins was runner-up in last month’s Gibraltar Trophy. Michael van Gerwen beat John Henderson 6-5 in the German final.
