MALVERN modern pentathlete Lottie Trevethan has got her new year off to a flying start by being invited to join the English Talent Pool by Pentathlon GB.
The 12-year-old took part in her first regional tetrathlon in Solihull in the under 15s age group as was one of the youngest competitors.
Trevethan claimed the gold medal for the fastest run and went on to claim bronze for third place in the overall competition.
The challenge included one-handed shooting from 10 metres, 38 two-minute fencing fights, a 100m swim and a 1,600m run.
