COLWALL and Malvern maintained their 100 per cent home record in West Clubs Women’s League Severn Division One.

The sixth-placed side beat lowly Lansdown seconds 5-0 with an experienced line-up creating several early chances.

The deadlock was broken in the 20th minute after fine work from player-coach Chey West down the right.

She crossed for Emma Hughes to slot the opener home.

From a well-worked short corner, Hughes sealed her brace to make it 2-0 at half-time.

Captain Sammie Shail got on the scoresheet after a good move involving Becky Lewis and Kerry Tudge.

Shail completed the scoring with a determined drive through the middle and reverse strike into the bottom corner.

The hosts’ defence stood strong with keeper Jenny Shail and Alicia Lawson clearing up the danger.

A young, battling Colwall and Malvern seconds team lost 6-0 at leaders Newent thirds in Division Three as keeper Jenny Parkes kept the score down.
