FORMER Bransford Golf Club captain Lesley Lammas hit her best form to win the Captain’s Charity competition by a point from Paul Ramsden.

Lammas finished with 43 points and also won prizes for being nearest the pin on the 11th hole and the longest drive on the fourth.

Paul Ramsden managed 42 with Lammas’ husband Andy third with 40.

Rob Turner was nearest the pin on the third and Ramsden in two on hole nine, while Wayne Harris hit the longest drive on the 12th.

A total of just over £300 was raised for the Afghan Trust and Combat Stress charity.

In the Stewards Cup, Craig Barry and Ade Bond won on 45 points with the former achieving a hole-in-one on the 111-yard 11th.

Harry Chadwick and Graham Thomas scored 42 and Harris and Lesley Lammas 41.

The seniors summer knockout final saw Ian Hamilton (12 handicap) hold off Ferey Ghani (13) to win two-up.
