MALVERN paddler Emily Lewis returned with two silver medals for Great Britain at the Piestany Intentional Kayak Regatta.
The Worcester Canoe Club star was joined by team-mate William Bird in enjoying success in Slovakia.
Lewis, 21, competed in the under 23s singles class racing over 500 and 200 metres.
In blustery conditions, the former St Mary’s Worcester Girls’ School pupil raced well and finished in second place in both races to secure the double silver.
Bird competed in the under 18s double class with Jack Childerstone from Guilford over 200m.
They progressed though the preliminary heats with the third fastest time of the day before digging deep in the last 50m of the final to pass their Polish, Slovakian and French rivals to take the gold medal.
After a couple of days’ rest, both athletes are back into hard training in preparation for final selection for the European and World Championships held in July.
