Worcester City Wanderers FC U15 girls away at Burlish Olympic, Saturday, September 13.

WITH last week's game called off, this was the first game of the season with everyone excited and ready to go. We had 11 players for the game.

Excellent start from the Wanderers: within 10 minutes Bobbi Spragg put us in front with a good low driven shot and shortly after we went two up when Laura Burton had a nice run and shot.

Burlish pulled one back and soon after Bobbi had a disallowed goal. Straight away Burlish levelled with a similar goal to their first.

Laura scored with another nice run and shot only for Burlish to equalise just before half time with another pass through the defence for the striker to finish. We really dominated this half but a few mistakes really cost us (HT 3-3).

Second half Burlish started to play better and put us under a bit of pressure. The defence held out well and Bobbi who moved into goal made some good saves. Katie Sampson moved upfront and almost scored with two or three shots.

Laura also had some good shots which the Burlish keeper managed to save. Burlish took the lead with a scrappy goal and soon after Katie hit the bar with a powerful shot.

Burlish were then able to get another with another scrappy goal before we moved to three at the back Amie Tipper moved into midfield. Within a few minutes Amie almost broke the bar with a thunderbolt of a shot from around 20/25 yards. (FT 5-3).

Good performance to start off the season, first 25 minutes was excellent will need to maintain the pace throughout the game.
