Leominster Minors u13s 0, Ledbury Swifts Rovers u13s 7.

LEDBURY Swifts Rovers travelled to face a tough Leominster Minors side and produced a good display to run out worthy winners.

Rovers started brightly and, after creating several chances in the early exchanges, went ahead when Kieran Loveridge drove home emphatically from the edge of the box.

The lead soon increased when Loveridge pounced on a corner to fire into the roof of the net.

After further pressure, Matthew Hammond broke and Joe Cotton finished to make it 3-0 just before half-time.

After the break, Ledbury started quickly, and created a host of chances before Dave Williams struck home after a fine sweeping move.

The visitors were now dominating and effectively ended the tie when Sam Branch was sent clear to coolly finish.

Leominster strived to reduce the advantage in the final minutes.

But it was Williams who headed home a free-kick. He completed his hat-trick when pouncing on a loose ball to complete the Ledbury scoring.

Ledbury Swifts Athletic u15s 2, Onny Juniors u15s 1.

LEDBURY Swifts made an excellent start to this Stirling League game, taking the lead in the 10th minute when Lewis Williams squared the ball to Harrison Oakshott-Francis to shoot home from eight yards out.

The visitors tried hard to find the equaliser but were denied by great defending from Jake Eager, Sam Ellis, Ryan Jones and James Trodd. Just before the break, Onny did get behind the defence but were denied by a fine save from Paul Spriggs.

The second-half started off with Swifts taking a 2-0 lead when a corner from Tom Skittery found Oakshott-Francis, who slid the ball in from six yards out.

Onny never gave up and midway through the half pulled a goal back with a low shot after a good build- up play.

This set up a tense end-to-end finish to the game, but Swifts kept their opponents out and secured another crucial win against one of their main rivals at the top of the league.
