Honours even in this meeting

MALVERN RADAR 2, HDNL 2

THESE two teams had met at the start of the month when Radar won 2-0 but this times the points were shared in an entertaining game at Victoria Park.

Radar should have taken the lead when a mis-placed pass went straight to Stacy Brimmell, who shot over the bar from close range. The miss proved costly as the the visitors immediately took the lead through Kevin Ginger, who scored from close range in 17th minute. This was Radar's fourth game and it was the first goal they had conceded this season.

Radar's Duane Willis was pushed up front and he equalised almost immediately with a well hit shot into the bottom corner from he edge of the area. It was end to end stuff and HDNL again took the lead when a cross from Nathan Grogan was easily put away by Mark Homer on the half hour.

Again, they were only ahead for a few minutes as Willis scored again with a great effort from 18 yards following good work by Marian Halcak.

The visitors almost took the lead right on half-time when Andy Hope's thunderbolt shot just whistled past the post.

Willis really should have completed his hat-trick early in the second-half and Jason Lloyd dithered with another good chance.

Radar are at home again on Sunday with a WFA County Cup tie against Perowne Park Rangers. Players meet 9.45am.
