MALVERN Town lost their final game under the management of Les Jones and his assistant Derek Doyle 3-0 at champions Wolverhampton Sporting Community.

The HDanywhere Community Stadium side finished third in the West Midlands League Premier Division.

Jones and Doyle will move on in the summer with Malvern due to appoint a replacement.

Town made a bright start with Josh Hunt directing a volley over after Kyonn Evans headed down Lewis Platt's pass.

Then Sam Rathbone and Evans played a one-two but the former’s shot was caught by keeper Dale Reaney.

Malvern keeper Josh King, replacing the suspended Charlie Weaver in goal, blocked a powerful shot.

Then Louis Loader's free-kick for Town was pushed over by Reaney.

But in the 26th minute King blocked Tom Hill's shot only for the rebound to go in off Platt.

Hunt chipped wide before Wolverhampton doubled their lead in the 36th minutes when Dan Scragg fired in a right-wing cross.

Just before the break, Hill weaved into the box and demanded a fine save from King.

Town dominated the second period without creating any good chances.

Smith's header was caught by Reaney in a rare opportunity.

Two minutes from time, a Wolverhampton cross struck Malvern's Jamie Sauntson and went into the net to complete the scoring.
