A NINE-GOAL thriller at Worcester Athletic in McDonald’s Worcester and District League Sunday Division One saw the home team dent St John's title hopes with a pulsating 5-4 victory.

Adam Whitehead was the Athletic shooting star, netting four times, including an 88th-minute winner with the scores level at 4-4.

Macauley Austin grabbed their other goal with Matt Turner cracking a hat-trick for Saints.

Eaton consolidated second place in Division Two with a 5-2 win against Warndon Villages.

George Loader hit a hat-trick for Eaton with Luke Griffin and Paul Jones also on the scoresheet.

Fred Harrison netted both the Warndon goals.

The top-of-the-table clash in Division Three resulted in a 1-1 draw between Masons and Express Falcons.

Marius Manczak netted for Masons with Brad Morton replying for Falcons.

Droitwich Spa Eagles won 3-1 at Freemasons Arms with goals from Adam Ellis, Chris Lewis and a rare 25-yard screamer from veteran Matt Bishop.

There were goals galore at Grosvenor Sports in Division Four where the home team found themselves 3-0 down after only two minutes against Sebright Arms.

However, in an incredible comeback Sports eventually ran out 6-5 winners.

Josh Farnsworth netted four times for Grosvenor with Gary Fisher and Dan Mimnagh also on target.

Shane Shallcross, Andy Reid, Glenn Sitch, Dan Glisson and Lewis Finch all found the net for Sebright.

Scott Reeves notched a double as Lower Teme and Martley Reserves beat New Inn Sports (Malvern) 4-2.

Holders Perrywood are through to the final of the Baylis Cup but needed extra-time to eventually beat a plucky FC Malvern side 3-1.

Ant Layton, Anthony Burton and Joe Bates were the Perrywood scorers and they will meet either Hallow or Callow End in the final.

In their first season in the league, Perdiswell Colts have reached the final of the Bernard Finnegan Cup.

In their semi-final, they beat Colwall Wanderers 3-1 thanks to Martin Fowler, Matt Curtis and an own goal.

Ben Miller had earlier given Colwall a first-half lead.

Hallow won their Vaughn Albone Memorial Cup quarter-final at The Gloster Arms 5-1.

Zaq Hussain and Ben Harborne both bagged braces and they will meet St Johns in the semi-finals.

After their Worcestershire FA Sunday Premier Cup success the previous weekend, Callow End came down to earth with a bump, losing 2-0 to AFC Northfield in the Worcester Nursing Sunday Junior Cup semi-finals.
