EXPRESS Falcons kicked off their McDonald’s Worcester & District Football League Division Three campaign with a 3-1 home defeat to Worcester Rovers at Lower Howsell Road.
Matt Bannister had levelled for the Falcons midway through the first period only to see Rovers regain the lead before half-time.
Despite heavy pressure the Falcons could not find an equaliser, and fell further behind when Rovers grabbed a third in the 82nd minute.
Falcons travel to Droitwich to play Freemasons Arms on Sunday (10.30pm).
The club were presented with their new playing kit ahead of the first match by new sponsor Greene King.
The shirts, which don the name of home pub The Express on the front, will serve as the new home kit for this season.
Local transport company SFXT Couriers have sponsored the back of the shirts.
The players will also wear club polo shirts, sponsored by local company Conservatory Guys.
The club wish to thank all their sponsors for the fantastic support.
