MALVERN Rangers are the new holders of the McDonald’s Worcester and District League’s Southam Trophy after a 3-2 extra-time win against Clifton Rovers.

Toby Boswell grabbed the winner five minutes from time at Malvern Town’s HDanywhere Community Stadium.

Earlier Sam Harris gave Rangers the lead before Luke Owen equalised for Clifton.

Jonathan King restored Rangers’ advantage before Josh Stafford brought the scores level again from the penalty spot after James Quinn had been brought down.

Ben Jackson of Malvern was named man of the match.

Perrywood moved to within one point of Callow End at the top of the Premier Division after a 2-1 home win over Falcons with Garry Price and Adam Pritchard their scorers.

Callow End were held to a 1-1 draw at The Gloster Arms.

Harry Wickett gave the Gloster the lead before Nick MacPherson equalised minutes after he missed from the penalty spot.

Elsewhere Chris Conway netted six times for Hallow who thumped Upton Snodsbury 9-0 and a brace from Mario Viera helped Riverside to a 3-1 success against Worcester Saints.

In Division Two Josh Homans cracked a hat-trick for Arrow who crushed Pershore Town Eagles 6-1.

Garry Jones, Lee Seldon and Jordan Stoddart were also on the scoresheet.

Prince of Wales maintained their challenge for the championship with Chris Cornes and Dan Parsons on target in their 2-1 win at Korono.

VBL Sports need just one win from their final three matches to take the Division Three title.

They hammered Powick 7-0 with goals from Luke Stock (2), Wayne Claridge, Martin Fowler, Chris Newman, Dean Price and Harry Snelling.

Malvern Vale beat The Bell @ Pensax Reserves 2-1 with Chris Packer and Andrew Branelly their scorers.

If St Johns Colts beat Lower Teme & Martley in their final match on Sunday they will take the Division Four crown.

Joe Bates and Alex Hewitt both bagged a brace as they demolished Tenbury Athletic 9-1.

However Lower Teme can still win the division if they beat both St Johns and Worcester Saints Reserves in their final two games.

They won 4-1 at Brewers Arms with strikes from Josh Cochrane, Nick Jones, Callum Morris and Ben Morgan.

GDL Athletic had a 2-1 victory at Riley’s Sports with Rich Gardner netting both goals.
