CLIFTON Rovers are the new holders of the Worcester Nursing Sunday Minor Cup.

They clinched the trophy with a 1-0 win against Bromsgrove and District League team Hizza United.

Ben Price put Bedwardine ahead with a solo goal before a stunning 30-yard free-kick from George Corbett levelled.

Bedwardine regained the lead on half-time when Sporting’s Alex Marsh played the ball back to his keeper Mike Grainger but the ball bobbled as he went to clear and rolled into the empty net.

Bedwardine increased their lead with a Nathan Hayward penalty after a foul on Tom Hobbs who completed the scoring.

They will play Perrywood in the final on Sunday, May 14, at Malvern Town.
