THERE was a shock result in the McDonald’s Worcester and District League’s Kilbourne Kay Cup quarter-finals as Division Two leaders Prince of Wales crashed out 6-2 at FC Korono.

Ed Jukes was the Korono shooting star, netting five times.

Korono now play Droitwich Spa Eagles who won their tie with Hornets 4-0.

Another surprise result saw GDL Athletic defeat highly-fancied Lower Teme and Martley 3-1 in the Phipps Cup quarter-finals.

Luke Perry (2) and Rich Gardner were on target for GDL whose semi-final opponents will be Worcester Saints Reserves after they won 4-1 at Tenbury Athletic.

Also through are Riley’s Sports with Jon Warman, Ashley Terry and Ben Simpson their scorers in a 3-1 victory at Grosvenor Sports.

In the Katherine Rayer Cup quarter-finals The Gloster Arms won 4-1 at Virgin Athletic with goals from Jamie Smith, Tim Clarke, Lee Hooper and Jack Preece.

Upton Snodsbury hammered Colwall Village 7-1 in the Premier Division with Tom Coley and Chris Doyle both bagging a brace.

Ryan Pugh scored twice as Northside beat The Bell @ Pensax 4-1.

Drakes Broughton Rangers extended their lead to six points at the top of Division One after a 4-0 home win over Northwick Arms.

Tom Coultas-Morton, Matt Greenwood, Sam O’Neill and Alex Bastable were all on target for Rangers.

They face a title-defining meeting with FC Sporting Worcester on Sunday.

Sporting played out a goalless draw with fellow challengers Bedwardine where chances were few and far between.

Arrow’s Division Two title hopes were dented with a shock 4-0 reversal at bottom-of-the-table Perrywood Reserves.

Josh Jones (2), Alan Parkinson and an audacious lob over the keeper’s head from the halfway line by John Pykett accounted for the Wood goals.

There were doubles from Adam Whitehead of Worcester Athletic, who won 3-2 at Colwall St James, and Tom Tandurella as Pershore Town Eagles beat CSKA Worcester 4-1.

In Division Three Malvern Vale defeated Worcester Lynx 5-1 with strikes from Darren Jenkins (2), Ryan Perks, Dan Hunt and Kyle Stimson.

Droitwich Athletic won 4-1 at The Bell @ Pensax Reserves with Phil Bridges, Jordan Fox, Liam Neath and Tom Poke their scorers.

Division Four title-chasers St Johns Colts crushed Malvern Radar Youth 7-0 as Josh Wilson hit a hat-trick with Joe Bates and Sam Hayes both bagging a brace.

Fellow challengers Eaton Rovers beat Droitwich Spa Eagles Reserves 4-1 with Carlos Santos netting twice.

In the Pershore Hospital Cup semi-finals, Hallow thrashed Tewkesbury Town 8-1 with Kyonn Evans cracking a treble and Shaq Tulloch a double.

In the final on May 3 they will meet Evesham WMC who beat Broadway United 3-0.
