THE Gloster Arms crushed St John’s 7-1 in the McDonald’s Worcester and District League’s Baylis Cup quarter-finals.

Dave Reynolds and Dan Stowe both bagged braces with Ed Lyons and Aaron Richards also on target.

In the semi-finals, they will play Kempsey, who beat Northside 2-1, while Hallow and The Bell @ Pensax contest the other last-four clash.

In the Kilbourne Kay Cup quarter-finals, Alex Hughes cracked a hat-trick for Virgin Athletic, who won 5-3 at Ale Madrid with Mark Amott bagging two and Kieran Deegan one for the Malvern side.

The University of Worcester “B” will play Virgin in the last four after a 2-1 penalty shoot-out win at Malvern Rangers with the match being level at 3-3 after extra-time. Lewis Doyle bagged a hat-trick for Rangers. Colwall St James and The National Express will contest the other semi.

The National Express progressed with a 5-3 win at Whitehall, while Colwall beat Alumni 3-0 through Dominic Ince, Ryan Ince and Russell Smith.

In the Phipps Cup semi-finals, DM Upton face Old Vigornians after Luan Ghashi scored twice in a 4-0 win at Westside. John Ditchburn and Will Lloyd also netted.

Five Fathers won 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 extra-time draw at Sport Dysons in the last eight.

Alex Jones and James Marschall scored for Dysons.

Arrow Upton moved to within one point of Premier Division leaders Malvern Radar, who were without a game, after a comprehensive 6-0 win at the University of Worcester “A”.

Perrywood climbed into third place with John Pykett bagging two in their 3-2 victory at Callow End, who replied through Tiago Ribeiro and Adam Webb.

In Division Three, Colwall Village had a narrow 4-3 success at Droitwich RBL, with goals from Andy Lancett (2), Steve Carpenter and Mark White.

Meanwhile, Atletico Ledbury won 2-1 at lowly Phoenix in the Jewson Herefordshire Sunday League Southern Division.

Scott Hodgetts and Jack Weatherby were on target as second-from-bottom Malvern Vale lost narrowly 3-2 at home to Leominster Town Reserves in Herefordshire League Division Three.
