NEWTOWN Sports Juniors beat local rivals Welland Juniors Colts 6-0 in Mercian Fortis Junior League Under 11s Division Two.

Joe Haywood hit a hat-trick with further goals from Ollie Halion, Mackay Allison and Oscar Hill at Malvern’s Dyson Perrins Academy.

Sports led 3-0 at half-time and went back to the top of the table with six games to go.

Meanwhile, Ledbury Swifts Rovers returned to Herefordshire Junior League Under 17s action with a 7-2 home win over Pegasus Colts.

Charlie Docherty’s double put Swifts 2-0 up inside four minutes before Lewis Potter made it 3-0 midway through the first-half.

Pegasus reduced the arrears just before the break to make it 3-1 at half-time.

Player-of-the-match and captain Callum Blackmore-Davey scored a fine brace of headed goals to put Swifts into a 5-1 lead.

Colts pulled another goal back before Docherty completed his hat-trick.

The game was sealed when good work down the wing by Potter enabled Hari John to tap home.
