HEREFORD United’s much-troubled season in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division has been expunged from the record books.

League secretary Jason Mills today confirmed the standings had been amended and all results featuring United removed.

The financially-troubled Edgar Street club were languishing 14th in the table with 30 points from 25 games — 15 points outside the play-offs — when they were wound-up last month at the Royal Courts of Justice.

A Southern League statement confirmed that former Hereford chairman Andy Lonsdale had not appealed the court’s decision.

A league statement said: “The board of directors have unanimously agreed that the club’s playing record for the current season is expunged with immediate effect. The Premier Division table has been adjusted accordingly.”

The statement added: “Any further matters relating to Hereford United (1939) Ltd will be dealt with by the Office of the Official Receiver.”

As a result of Hereford’s demise, Redditch United are fourth in an adjusted South - ern League table with 45 points from 25 matches.

Former Hereford manager Jon Taylor used a total of 43 players with only 13 accumuating 10 or more appearances in all competitions.

United’s highs included hitting four goals against Arlesey and Dorchester in consecutive games, but the campaign featured many lows.

They were knocked out of the FA Cup in the first qualifying round by minnows Elllistown and Ibstock, while Cinderford Town eliminated them from the Red Insure Cup.

United also suffered a 5-2 home defeat against Burnham and a 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Truro.
