LEDBURY Town Reserves hammered ten-man St Johns Howle Hill 6-0 to reach the Ross Cup semi-finals.

Referee Nigel Payne had a busy game at New Street, awarding the hosts three penalties, disallowing two goals and sending off a visiting player.

The first spot-kick arrived on 25 minutes, with former first team player Martin Loveridge successfully scoring, after a defender was red-carded for a handball on the line.

Captain Jamie Welch rounded the keeper to score ten minutes before the interval, and midfielder Scott Roberts added a third early after the break.

Substitute Chris Stone bagged a late brace alongside another successful penalty from Welch.

Loveridge also had a second-half spot-kick saved by the Gloucestershire League side’s keeper.

The reserves play in the Herefordshire FA Junior Cup quarter-finals at home to Kingstone Rovers tomorrow (2pm).

Ledbury Colts secured a deserved 4-1 victory over Shobdon Reserves in The Hereford Times Herefordshire League Division Three.

They look forward to the reverse league fixture tomorrow (2.30pm).

Forward Zeki Koral bagged a brace, with Tom Skittery and Nick Bolton also on target for Richard Thick’s side.
