LEDBURY Town Reserves rose to the top of Herefordshire Football League Division One with a 6-0 thrashing of Ewyas Harold Reserves.
Phil Preedy and Roly Welch’s squad produced all their goals in a thrilling second-half.
Prolific former first team striker Jamie Welch and regular reserves marksman Jamie Gladwin bagged a brace each.
Pat Locke and Martin Loveridge were also on target as the hosts lead the table from rivals Bromyard on goal difference.
Town’s second string are next in action tomorrow in a second consecutive home encounter against Hinton Reserves (2.30pm).
Meanwhile, Ledbury’s first team continued their stay at the bottom of West Midlands League Division One after a sixth consecutive defeat of the season. They went down 4-1 at sixth-placed Stone Old Alleynians in Staffordshire with new signing Jonathan Owen on target.
Pete Boyle and Zac Blood’s struggling side host Team Dudley in a rearranged league clash tomorrow (3pm).
Next Wednesday, Ledbury entertain Highgate United in the Smedley Crooke Memorial Cup first round (7.45pm).
