THE Mercian Festival Junior League hold their last finals day of the season at Malvern Town's Langland Stadium on Sunday.

Leigh and Bransford Badgers Rangers boys' under 15s are the only side from the Malvern area involved but plenty of spectators are expected to attend.

There will be four finals in one day with an admission fee of £2.

The Andy Wardroper Memorial Cup pairs Rangers with Worcester's Nunnery Wood Falcons at 12.30pm in a 40-minute each-way clash.

Worcester Youth and Bewdley Town kick off the day in the Wayne Phillpotts Memorial Shield for under 14s at 10.30am.

St John's Colts and Worcester Hawks meet in the Reg Box Memorial Cup for under 16s at 2.30pm.

Finally, the Ted Price Memorial Cup final for under 18s at 4.30pm pits Worcester Olympic against Rock Sports.

There will be a bar, raffle, hot and cold refreshments at the ground.

The junior league has grown massively since being founded in 1976 and some trophies have been with them for a long time.

The Wayne Phillpotts Memorial Cup was donated by the family of a local footballer, who passed away in his teens.

A former team manager, his father Richard later became secretary of the league in the early 1990s.

The Andy Wardroper Memorial Cup was originally a wooden plaque given in 1989 in his memory by cousin Colin Hammond.

A former captain of Malvern Town, Wardroper was also committed to the West Malvern Royal British Legion football team.

Box donated a cup to the competition in 1999 and was vice-chairman and president for 25 years before passing away earlier this season.

He was a well-known footballing personality in the Malvern area and a prolific fundraiser for the County Air Ambulance.

The Ted Price Memorial Cup was donated to the league by his family in 2009.

Born in Worcester with a lifelong passion for football, Price passed away in 2000.

The keen Birmingham City fan sold club merchandise at Worcester City's St George's Lane for 25 years. Worcestershire FA have donated footballs for the finals and provided officials.
