MALVERN Town completed their West Midlands Football League Premier Division season with a 0-0 draw at Worcestershire rivals Bewdley Town.

Les Jones’ side ended a solid campaign strongly in 11th but teams below them still have to fulfil their fixtures and 14th or 15th is a more realistic finishing position.

Malvern drew at Bewdley on the back of a fine 3-1 win at Bilston Town last weekend and now just have cup fixtures to play, including next Monday’s Smedley Crooke Memorial Trophy semi-final against Paget Rangers at Boldmere St Michaels (7.30pm).

Meanwhile, Bromyard Town are in danger of finishing bottom of the Premier after hitting the basement with two fixtures left.

They lost 3-1 at home to Dudley Sports and host fifth-placed Sporting Khalsa on Saturday (3pm) before entertaining third-from-bottom Willenhall Town next Tuesday (7.45pm).

Bromyard are just one point behind Bustleholme and Willenhall, who have more games to play.

In Division Two, Malvern Rangers won 5-1 at basement boys Bilbrook with Sean Smith (3), Paul Edwards and Sam Rathbone on target.

Rangers host Wolverhampton Sporting Community Reserves on Saturday (3pm).
